Youth Mental Health First Aid at Catholic Charities July 24th and 25th
Why Youth Mental Health First Aid?
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This 8-hour training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to adolescents (ages 12-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
This 8 hour training will take place at our office over 2 days, 4 hours per day from 12 noon – 4:30 pm at our office. Lunch will be served.
Part One: 7/24 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Part Two: 7/25 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Cost is $10 and covers course materials, lunch and refreshments. Course textbooks have been provided by a grant from the American Red Cross. Payment can be made in cash or by check made out to Catholic Charities of Central Florida the day of the training.
